Video calls, live process walkthroughs, local inspection partners, consolidated sample shipments, and phased orders can reduce travel and transaction cost. Keep standards consistent, but help the supplier understand how to demonstrate compliance.

When visiting, group suppliers by geography only after shortlisting by fit. Plan enough time at each site and include logistics providers, laboratories, farms, or packaging partners only when they are relevant. Record the same facts for each candidate. After the trip, avoid publishing unverified regional generalizations; describe the named company, observed process, date, and limits of what you saw.
